Getting started
How do I start with Qlive?
Book the free assessment. A Qlive counsellor runs a live adaptive assessment with your child and walks you through the report. If you'd like classes, we recommend a teacher and a plan, and share the fees.
What does the free assessment involve?
It's a live session of under an hour. About 40 questions adapt to your child's answers, moving from a warm-up to the topics where they need help, then a challenge round. You get a report showing what is secure, what is still being learned and where the gaps are.
Is the assessment really free?
Yes, with no obligation to book classes. You keep the report either way.
Can we try a class before committing?
Yes. After the assessment you can ask for a 45-minute demo class with the recommended teacher. Where practical, the teacher you meet in the demo is the one who continues with your child.
Which grades and curricula do you teach?
KG to Grade 12, for CBSE, ICSE and ISC, Indian state boards, Cambridge and Edexcel IGCSE, IB, the British, American, Australian, New Zealand, Irish and Canadian curricula, and UAE and Saudi MOE.
Which subjects can my child learn?
All school subjects, including maths, physics, chemistry, biology, science, English, Hindi, Malayalam, Arabic, French, social science, economics, accountancy, business studies and computer science.
Classes and teachers
Are classes really one-to-one?
Yes. Every class is your child and one teacher, live. Nobody else joins.
How long are classes and how often?
Usually 60 minutes, at a fixed weekly time. How many classes a week depends on your child's goal and the plan agreed after the assessment.
How do you choose my child's teacher?
For academic reasons: subject expertise, familiarity with your child's exact curriculum, suitability for their level, teaching style, and availability at your times. Where it helps, we also match the language your family speaks.
How are Qlive teachers selected?
Every teacher goes through screening, two interviews, a recorded teaching audition reviewed by our academic team, and training in how Qlive teaches, before they meet a student.
What if a teacher leaves or isn't the right fit?
We match another teacher and hand over everything: what has been taught, how your child learns best, and every Pulse result so far. Your child's plan and progress carry on, and your Student Success Partner stays the same.
What device does my child need?
A laptop or tablet with a stable internet connection works best, ideally with a stylus or mouse for writing on the board. A phone works in a pinch. Nothing needs installing.
The Qlive system
What is a Student Success Partner?
A person at Qlive on your family's side. They own your child's goal with you, check in on progress, and arrange whatever helps: extra classes before an exam, a revised plan, a conversation with the teacher, or a different teacher.
What does Qlive's academic team do?
It reviews students' progress and plans, sets and marks assessments alongside teachers, keeps lessons true to each curriculum, and supports teachers with advice and quality checks.
What is Qlive Space?
Qlive's AI-powered, activity-based learning platform, used in every class. Your child and the teacher each sign in and talk on Google Meet alongside it. Inside are lessons for your child's syllabus, 20+ kinds of activity, a board for writing and PenQ, our AI helper.
What is Qlive Pulse?
Qlive's assessment system: the free diagnostic, weekly worksheets, checkpoints every two to three weeks, term exams for some programmes, and marking with written feedback.
What is the Qlive Learn app?
The app for Qlive students and families: classes in your timezone, one tap to join, a chat for each class with the teacher and the Qlive team, reminders, and your Student Success Partner. It's on Android and at my.qlivelearn.com.
Who is PenQ?
PenQ is Qlive's AI learning companion and mascot. Teachers can use PenQ in Qlive Space to make a quick quiz, practice cards or a diagram. The teacher always leads the class.
Progress and results
How will I know if it's working?
Checkpoints every two to three weeks show progress against where your child started. You're told in the app when work is marked, and your Student Success Partner talks through how it's going.
Can you guarantee marks or a grade?
No academy can honestly guarantee a result. What we commit to is careful planning, consistent teaching, regular checking, and changing the plan when your child needs something different.
Do you help with board exams?
Yes. For CBSE and ICSE Class 10 and 12, IGCSE, GCSE, A-Level and other final exams, teachers work through the syllabus, past papers and timed practice, and checkpoints show which chapters still need work.
My child is far behind. Can you help?
Yes. The assessment finds where the gaps begin, and our Foundation programme rebuilds core skills in maths and languages level by level while keeping pace with school.
Fees and payments
How much does Qlive cost?
Fees depend on the subject, grade, curriculum and how many classes a week your child needs, so we share them after the free assessment.
How is billing done?
You pay for classes actually taken. Your Student Success Partner explains the details for your plan.
How can I pay?
By UPI, Indian bank transfer or card, or by international bank transfer in AED, GBP, USD, EUR or AUD.
Safety and privacy
Are classes recorded?
Yes. One-to-one classes are recorded so our team can review teaching quality and look into any concern quickly.
How is my child's data protected?
We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, do not sell personal information, and delete data when you ask. Our privacy policy explains what we collect and why.
Who do I contact with a concern?
Your Student Success Partner first. For privacy matters or a formal grievance, write to privacy@qlivelearn.com.
