What happens in the session
It is built on Qlive Pulse, our assessment system. About 40 questions, chosen one at a time based on how your child is doing.
- 1
Getting to know your child
Grade, school, syllabus, what they enjoy and what worries you. This sets the starting level.
- 2
Warm-up
A few easy questions so your child settles in. Nobody does their best work nervous.
- 3
Topic scan
Questions across the main topics for their grade, to see which are solid and which are wobbly.
- 4
Deeper rounds
Where answers slip, the questions step back to earlier grades to find exactly where understanding stops.
- 5
Challenge round
Harder questions on their strongest topics, so we also know how far they can stretch.
- 6
Your report
The counsellor walks you through it: what is secure, what is in progress, what is missing, and what we recommend.

Why we assess before we teach
Marks don't say why
A 60% in maths could mean careless mistakes, a missing topic from two years ago, or exam nerves. Each needs a different kind of help.
The right teacher, first time
Knowing the level and the gaps lets us match a teacher who suits your child, instead of finding out after a month of classes.
A starting line to measure from
Checkpoints every two to three weeks show progress against where your child began, so you can see the change.
Is the assessment really free?
Yes. There is no fee and no obligation to book classes afterwards. You keep the report either way.
How long does it take?
Under an hour in total, including the conversation with you at the end. The questions themselves take most children 30 to 40 minutes.
Which subjects can be assessed?
Most families start with maths, science or English. Tell us the subject you are worried about in the form and we will set it up for that. For languages such as Arabic or Hindi, the first session works as a guided assessment with a teacher.
What does my child need?
A laptop or tablet with a stable internet connection, and a quiet place to sit. A phone works, but a bigger screen is easier. No software to install.
Is it a test my child can fail?
No. The questions adapt to your child, so they always spend most of the time at a level they can manage. The point is to see where help is needed, not to give a score.
What happens after the assessment?
If you want classes, we recommend a teacher and a plan based on the report and share the fees. If you would like to see a class first, we can arrange a 45-minute demo with that teacher.
