What teaching at Qlive looks like

How teaching works, in detail
  1. 1

    Set your hours

Tell Qlive when you can teach. New classes only go into those hours.

  2. 2

    Say yes to a student

You're invited to classes that fit your subjects and hours, and you choose.

  3. 3

    Teach in Qlive Space

Open the lesson, run the activities, talk on Google Meet. PenQ helps.

  4. 4

    Close the loop

Two lines of feedback after class. Mark work. The team takes it from there.

How we hire

We look for commitment, competence and character, and we'd rather coach than reject.

Do you sell teacher training courses?

No. Qlive hires teachers to teach Qlive students. Training happens after you've been selected, and it is free: no fee and no deposit.

How are teachers paid?

Most Qlive teachers are paid by the hour for approved class hours, once a month, by the 15th of the following month. Rates depend on the curriculum, grade and subject; international curricula pay more. Your rates are confirmed in writing before you start. Full-time roles are explained in their own offer.

Can I teach part-time?

Yes. Many Qlive teachers teach part-time alongside other work. You set your available hours in the Educate app and classes are planned inside them.

What do I need to teach?

A laptop or desktop (phones aren't used for teaching), internet of 10 Mbps or better, your camera on for the whole class, and a headset if you can. For maths and the sciences, a pen tablet or stylus for writing. And clear spoken English.

Which subjects are most in demand?

Maths and English, especially for students in the Gulf, the UK, Australia and New Zealand, plus the sciences and languages. We hire across CBSE, ICSE, state boards, IGCSE, IB and other international curricula.

I'm a fresher. Can I apply?

Yes, for most roles, if your subject knowledge is strong and you explain clearly. Some roles, like the part-time online maths role, ask for previous online teaching experience.
